Makeup and Beauty Review

Current Makeup Favourites Spring 2016

I’m a big fan of bargain hunting makeup. When Priceline has a 50% off brands sale, I’m IN THERE! I also haunt Chemist Warehouse, Big W and Target to keep an eye out for a bargain. So while it might seem that I spend a lot, I really don’t. I really really don’t!

Here’s what is in my makeup bag that goes everywhere with me:

First up: Eyes. painterly
I prime with two different products:
The non-budget option but totally worth it!
MAC PRO LONGWEAR PAINT POT in Painterly.
It lasts forever as you only use a little at a time. I also often wear this alone if I’m time short.

I also LOVE the Elf Shadow Lock eye primers. There are a couple of bucks at Kmart. Yeah they have a little sparkle but it’s easily covered and they offer no-crease all day wear by themselves or to hold other shadow in place.

n9This little beauty is the w7 “Mid Summer Nights” Naughty Nines palette. I’ve heard from a few friends that have bought this and they all love it like I do. w7 palettes sometimes have some fairly major fallout. However this palette is almost fallout free. Find it at a My Chemist, on ebay  or possibly a Chemist warehouse -they have a lot of w7 products but this one is not on the website.  Also by w7 I recommend the tiny little sponge blenders and the basic mascaras.

Eyeliners I use come in two types.
Pencil type of choice is the RIMMEL Exaggerate Automatic Waterproof Eye Definer
Felt tip liner that I use daily at the moment is Maybelline Master Graphic Liquid Liner in Bold Black Yep I know not everyone loves it, but I do. As long as I’m not trying to apply it over wet primer it works like a dream and so easy for my go-to winged eyelinemascarar look.

Mascara is an easy one. RIMMEL Supercurler Mascara Add a little to the top of your lashes, then a good wiggle through your lashes from the underside and you’re done.

Eyebrows are Maybelline Brow Satin 2 ended Pencil.

Makeup Brushes are also easy. Elf from kmart.. I use elf brushes for almost exaggerateautoliplinereverything. Ecotools are also great if you can get them 50% off.

Lipliner is almost always Rimmel Exaggerate Lip liner. I have most of the colours and they’re all fantastic in colour, feel and long wear.

Lipstick is the hardest. It’s my biggest horde of all the makeup types. I have MAC mattes, Maybelline Colour Sensationals, Mary Kay, Avon, Australis Matte Lip Cremes and of course, Rimmel lipsticks and Apocalips. So if I’m not wearing Babylips then I choose a liner and lippy for the day and add it to my bag. Honestly though, I often just wear babylips or a Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmer balm

So that’s my common stash. I’ll post another time about skin related makeup like foundation.

Hope you find it helpful!
